Museum of Flight...Langley BC

Photos from the March 24/2013 visit.

Full size old planes that are still flyable, sit beside radial and "V" engines of yester-year. Above them are huge and intricate models...some or most of them used to be remote control airplane models.

Beside the museum is a great little cafe with a view of the runway. Sunday was extra special because the museum crew accidentally got the Conair FireCat stuck in the grass while moving it to make room for a movie shoot. A few minutes later the rescue tractor was also stuck. Perfect lunch-time airport viewing entertainment.

Sidetrack....here's a post featuring the TSB report on the Pacific Coastal Grumman Goose crash that was carrying workers to the Kiewit project at Toba Inlet

Extra aerial diversion...the story Rick Rojatt, the "Human Fly" who rode on the outside of a DC-8 jetliner in the 70"s
